This project was our second magic trick! While the students were off on Spring Break, we camped out in their hallways and turned their dark and drab cafeteria and gym into something motivating and inviting.

Weeks before we started painting, we brought in the artists to spend time with the students. We learned about them, listened to their stories, and tried to see the world through their eyes. Messi, characters from Wakanda, and inspiring messages would soon cover the walls to greet the students as they returned from Spring Break.
