We first participated in Kansas City Irish Fest in 2022 and I’m not sure anything can prepare you for very literally THOUSANDS of kids coming into your tent and asking to help create this mural, a larger-than-life live coloring book. So to try and get ready for the 2023 installment of the historic Kansas City fest we once again teamed up with Doodle Dood and Katie Brown but this time, we doubled down. We came ready to greet the amazing youth with TWO giant murals. Each one measured 12 ft long by 6 ft tall. Both canvases lived in Doodle Dood’s studio as he created them and drew them by hand in advance of the fest.

Once hung at KCIF thousands of kids showed up, ready to go and ready to show off their creativity! In about 24 hours of fest time, they colored in, filled in, and some added their own elements to this massive collage paying homage to and celebrating the 21st annual Kansas City Irish Fest. Thank goodness for hand wipes and paper towels!
