The good people at KVC Missouri recently opened a new office in downtown Kansas City, MO and were looking for an impactful piece of art to live in and bring energy to their space. That’s when they reached out to us! KVC provides a wide range of family-strengthening resources, foster care, children’s mental health, educational, and other services. KVC is a nonprofit that works to strengthen families, prevent child abuse and neglect, and helps both children and adults achieve mental wellness.

KVC wants every child and adult to be safe and connected to a strong family and a healthy community. They’re proud to be a leader in innovative, effective, and compassionate care and we’re proud to have the opportunity to partner with them on this mural in the new facility.

For this project, Katie Lee sat down with the KVC team and talked about what would best represent them on a mural. She got to work and knocked out this 20 ft wide by 10.5 ft tall mural in just two days, and now it will live on for years at the facility reminding and inspiring people that “We All Need Connection.”Phase one of this project was the west wall and part of the south wall. Five artists created massive murals and spent two weeks on 60’ and 80’ lifts painting them on these walls. This was the first project organized by SprayKC.
